midnight in paris

I had absolutely no idea what this film was about and was only really interested in seeing it because Woody Allen wrote and directed it and I typically enjoy most of his films.  Ends up there is time travel involved in this one!  That was a bit of a surprise, but one that was pretty pleasant.  Owen Wilson’s character is an American writer who gets to live out his fantasy of experiencing the Parisian 1920’s; his idealized Golden Age in space and time.  I suppose that is what the main point of the movie is all about, the nostalgia we all have for some past era in time, which we never witnessed, but think of as something we missed out on.

For me, it’s the Disco era, hands down.

Just kidding.
