Happy Labour Day!

We are celebrating Labour Day today in Canada, and by “celebrating” I mean lounging around and not working…that’s what I am doing anyway.  This holiday weekend is the “unofficial end of summer”.  School starts again for many this week (including myself – I am heading back to Humber College for part two of four in the Project Management certificate program), the nights are getting cooler, the days shorter, Halloween is just around the corner.  Fall is on its way.

This is the time I generally start looking forward to wearing sweaters and scarves and eating squash soups.  To the leaves changing and the general slowing down that tends to happen during the colder months.  I may not really be looking forward to the Canadian winter (especially after the last one we had – oh so cold and oh so long), but I am ready for a change.

This does not mean that I feel I took full advantage of the warm summer months…
