Welcome to Summer

Today is officially the first day of summer!  It also marks the day which has the longest period of time between sunrise and sunset in the Northern hemisphere.  Two summers ago I was in St. Petersburg, Russia for the Summer Solstice and because that city is so far North, the sun never fully set, and in the normally darkest hours of the night it still looked like dusk.

I, for one, welcome this season with open arms!  After the loooooong winter we had here in SW Ontario I think we all need some time to shed winter layers and get outside!  I think this is going to be a good one!

So apparently there is a big Druid festival at Stonehenge for the Summer Solstice...should we organize something at the CN Tower???
